HOME BAMA Landing Page PRODUCTS SWIMMING POOL WATER TREATMENT CHEMICAL DOSING SKIDS FEEDER PACKAGES CONTACT US TECHNICAL VIDEOS Search Results More Soda Ash Preparation Package We offer a suitable soda ash preparation package with vacuum loader, 125 litre hopper and ProMinent 1000 litre UV stabilised PE preparation tank. Tank will have inlet, outlet, overflow and drain connections, necessary level switches, mounting for the vacuum loader and a slow speed stirrer. The ProMinent vacuum transfer system easily allows the operator to unload the soda ash from the 25 kg bags and dump into the tank. The suction wand is inserted in the bag and the soda ash is drawn into the chamber. As the powder enters the collection unit, the large volume inside the unit causes the air velocity to drop, and the powder falls to the bottom of the unit. Air is drawn upwards through a filter to remove any powder particles that are still airborne before leaving the unit via the vacuum motor. The vacuum loader is mounted on the PE tank and comes complete with built in dust extractor, suction wand and flexible suction hose. It is fitted with positively actuated valves on vacuum hose inlet and dump valve. These positively closing valves eliminate the chance of inadvertent blowback down suction lance or pressurising the hopper during the filter cleaning cycle. There is the requirement for air to operate the dump valve and to back flush the filter. A small compressor could be added to cater for this if you do not wish to use and run the existing plant air supply.. For larger Soda Ash packages visit www.tomal.com.au

  • Fluoridation | Prominent

HOME BAMA Landing Page PRODUCTS SWIMMING POOL WATER TREATMENT CHEMICAL DOSING SKIDS FEEDER PACKAGES CONTACT US TECHNICAL VIDEOS Search Results More Fluoridation Fluoridation of drinking water remains the most significant dental health program in New South Wales and Australia. The advantage of water fluoridation is that the entire community benefits from the preventative measure, regardless of age, socioeconomic level, educational achievement, individual motivation, or the availability of dentists. Fluoride packages and installations have to meet strict guide lines. In New South Wales where ProMinent Australia have supplied more than 50 systems, there is a fluoride code, ‘Code of Practice for the fluoridation of Water Supplies Act 1957‘.This code was published by the Oral Health Branch of the Dept of Health and revised in April 2018. This code has also been accepted by other Australian states as the bench mark for fluoride installations. Fluoride is available commercially in 3 different ways, 2 are powders the other a liquid. Each display different concentrations of available fluoride ions & solubility. Powder Sodium fluoride (NaF) - most expensive 44% by weight available fluoride ion (solubility is 4.0%) Sodium Silicofluoride (Na2SiF6) - 60% by weight available fluoride ion (solubility = 0.4%) Liquid Hydrofluosilicic acid (H2SiF6) - liquid - 24% by weight available fluoride ion ProMinent Australia is one of the market leaders when it comes to providing powder fluoride systems. We have many years of experience with sodium silicofluoride volumetric feed packages and with sodium fluoride saturator packages. For the continuous monitoring of fluoride levels in water supplies, a ProMinent fluoride analyser is available with milliamp retransmit and alarms. The analyser is normally supplied as backboard mounted with temperature, fluoride and reference electrodes. A magnetic stirrer is also provided to assist with the single or two point calibration. Double validation monitoring is available. BROCHURE

  • Lime | Prominent

HOME BAMA Landing Page PRODUCTS SWIMMING POOL WATER TREATMENT CHEMICAL DOSING SKIDS FEEDER PACKAGES CONTACT US TECHNICAL VIDEOS Search Results More Lime We offer small lime dosing packages in 2 ways. Firstly with a constant transfer rate and we vary the solution strength in proportion to a 4-20 mA signal by varying the powder feeder. Secondly a constant solution is made up and a metering pump doses in proportion to a 4-20 mA signal. .For both systems we always suggest the dosing line be kept as short as possible and to achieve this either the mains be close to the dosing pump or a booster transfer pump be installed to take water from the mains transfer it close to the dosing pump and return it back to the mains. Lime will settle out whenever the dosing is stopped. With the constant transfer system, when the feeding of the lime powder has stopped, water is allowed to continue for a set period to flush the tank, pump and transfer line. With this system, the velocity in the transfer pipe is always at maximum helping to prevent lime settling out in the line. With a batch make-up system it has to be decided as to what is to be flushed. Solenoid valves can be fitted to shut down the discharge from the solution tank, provide water to the metering pump for an adjustable time to flush the dosing line, but this does not clear the tank or the outlet solenoid valve. It may not be an option to completely flush the solution tank depending upon the volume of the tank. Small lime plant For large lime plants visit www.tomal.com.au For this constant solution package the metering pump will more than meet most turndown requirements but when dosing low capacities there is the risk of a too slow velocity in the dosing line resulting in lime settling out in the dosing line. A typical varying solution strength constant transfer system would operate as follows: A bag of powdered lime is placed on the open door of the bag loader and held in place by the retaining spear. The bottom of the bag is then opened manually, with a knife and the door closed allowing the lime to fall into the hopper. Heating pads and a vibrator are fitted to the hopper to keep the powder dry and to prevent bridging of the powder. The powder is metered into the solution tank via the powder feeder where it is mixed into the make-up water. A stirrer ensures the solution is thoroughly mixed before being transferred to the injection point. For larger Lime Plants please refer to tomal.com.au BROCHURE

  • Powdered Activated Carbon | Prominent

HOME BAMA Landing Page PRODUCTS SWIMMING POOL WATER TREATMENT CHEMICAL DOSING SKIDS FEEDER PACKAGES CONTACT US TECHNICAL VIDEOS Search Results More Powdered Activated Carbon ProMinent Australia have supplied many Powdered Activated Carbon preparation and dosing packages. Our preference is always to supply package as constant transfer and vary the PAC solution strength in proportion to the flow signal. For smaller systems we offer our locally designed and manufactured vacuum loader for unloading from 20 kg bags. For larger water supplies we offer with bulk bag unloaders, with crane and hoist (or suitable for fork lift loading) flexible conveyors and storage hoppers. From the day hopper the PAC is metered into a wetting cone/eductor arrangement in proportion to the mains water milliamp flow signal and transferred direct to a low pressure injection point (max 1 bar). For higher pressure discharge points, the PAC solution is transferred to a pump suction dilution tank from where it is pumped via a Spectra progressive cavity pump to the injection point. Dosages of 1 to 20 mg/L are typical for nominal taste and odor control, but PAC dosages can range between 1 to 100 mg/L depending on the type and concentrations of organic compounds present. Activated carbon is commonly used to adsorb natural organic compounds, taste and odor compounds, and synthetic organic chemicals in drinking water treatment. It is a highly porous material and provides a large surface area to which contaminants can be adsorbed. BROCHURE Another type available is suitable for loading with a fork and can be optioned with retractable springs to stretch the bag when it becomes lighter For Bulk Bag: A small intermediate hopper is located under the bulk bag loader and feeds the day hopper via a spiral conveyor. The bulk bag loader we offer has a crane for lifting the bags into position.
